Plug-ins, File Viewers, and Alternate Contact Information

In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act requiring all electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities.  Section 508 (29 U.S.C. º 794d), also requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information or services from any private, state, local, and federal agency, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency.

Plug-ins and File Viewers

As part of CVMC's approach to making content accessible, and in compliance with § 1194.22(m) of the final rule, this page fulfills the requirement that "When a web page requires that an applet, plug-in or other application be present on the client system to interpret page content, the page must provide a link to a plug-in or applet...."

All applets, plug-ins or other applications required by CVMC web pages and that are not included on the specific page may be found as links from this page.

Adobe Acrobat: Use Adobe Acrobat to read Portable Document Format (PDF) files.

Microsoft Word: Microsoft offers file viewer and converter programs to enable those who do not have MS-Word or have another version of MS-Word to open and view MS-Word files.

Microsoft Excel: Microsoft offers file viewer and converter programs to enable those who do not have MS-Excel or have another version of MS-Excel to view MS-Excel files.

Microsoft PowerPoint: Microsoft offers file viewer and converter programs to enable those who do not have MS-PowerPoint or have another version of MS-PowerPoint to view MS-PowerPoint files.
